Well, I hunted around for a complete donor, so I get all the things that normally nickle and dime you...and of course, God threw me a curve ball. A complete 2008 Z06, with a very, very well built, 748RWHP 454CI LS7 (454 RHS Block with 6bolt RhS heads)), 6 speed transaxle, magnetic ride suspension and CCB's.

So the project just got a bit simpler, since I am going gen4 Gm instead of gen5. I will use the sway bars, A-arms, knuckles, brakes, booster, magnetic ride controller, after market dampers, etc in the Shark.

That Z06 was a cool car with that modified powertrian and flared fenders. Someone had a crappy day.

Yeah, it's a 454 CI Gen4 engine, block and heads are aftermaket, Forged everything, etc. I'll go through it to make sure it took no damage.

This looks like it will be an interesting project, and looking forward to seeing how you go about it!

Very curious as to what you're going to do with the body mods since, IMOO, most times the 928 hasn't taken too well to them in the past. My fav was/is Louie Ott's white ITB build, now owned by GTR on this forum.

I wish Porsche had taken those perfectly shaped front fenders and extended that theme to the rear quarters to give it some hips similar to the 993 - before there was a 993.

Finally, I also think that fitting a modern auto trans into a stock 928 would completely transform it for the better, let alone including it with everything else you intend to do - very exciting for sure!

You picked the right car for your project... otherwise, it probably would not have been "saved" at all. Do it to it! Can't wait to see the end result

The thing is, I am sort of thinking about leaving the front body damage and baked paint. A sleeper? Not sure you could call it that, but a beater? Sure.

otherwise known as Patina,
you cant buy that.
people wont ding your door if your fender is crunched,
they will park farther away from you.

On the street, the wise will hear the exhaust and recognize all the money was spent on the "go", and decide best to admire and not challenge....
