Looks like the seller has dropped the price to 820 euros. It also indicates the price is negotiable.
I can imagine shipping would be expensive, not to mention a risk to the part if not done carefully!
Perhaps alert Strosek so they could buy it back and become the caretaker for the time being?

My 86.5 Supra looks that color and while not Porsche, Toyota called it Amethyst.
It actually changes between silver and violet depending on ambient light.

Yes, as stated earlier. To then rephrase myself, it seems to be somewhere inbetween cassis red and silver rose. I'm having a hard time tracking that colour down. The old ad says "silver sweetberry" but I don't know if that colour exist in the genuine porsche selection. Customer special choice maybe? Do you know more David?

Hello strosek and 928 fans. Just som info about these protection plates which Woodypeck are selling. I have mounted them yesterday and had to make som modifications. First things first and some pictures..;
It's these ofcourse, I'm sure you have seen them. In the picture below you can see the one's I bought. I must say I was a bit dissappointed about the finish on them. All the scratches you see were on them when I opened the package. I have already tried to make it nicer round the hole in the midddle and filed down corners etc. Still rough and scratched though. It seems that they had sent me a 2nd edition cut and not done any touch-ups before shipping. Ok, now I have complained enough. You can see that there have been some modifications done..;
If you like me have and older body 928 with the newer Version III bodykit you must do some mods if you buy these plates. I have cut away some of the material behind the back mounting hole and down, and removed a bigger piece on the front of the plates as you can see. You can also do a cut in the fibreglass front. I didn't want to cut the fibreglass because it is close to a fold-up strenghtening against the sides. I was concerned about vibrations and cracks forming. Another thing I also had to do was to bend the back points on the plates. It's more obvious on the pictures below. It was impossible to get it flush on the flat side of the mounting plate/bracket otherwise. It didn't say anything about this on Woodypeck site. The bracket is tapered back against the front wishbone mount, it's really impossible to fit the plate if you don't just tighten the bolts with brute force and let it clamp itself curved. The front plate mod is the main thing for the stroseks, it is possible that you don't have to modify the upper back of the plate and bend it. But I surely was forced to do this...
And here they are in place. A good thing to have. If I could wish something I would liked them to reach further down, say about 3cm, still nice pieces...;

Another tip for all you strosek drivers:
If you have the hood with the reverse scoop and naca-inlets, the alu-hood becomes a bit heavier than stock. I discovered this when I bought the standard gasstruts at 150N. These struts would not keep the hood open. It would just sag and stay open the last bit. So I did some tests and decided to use 240n struts instead. A lot of warnings are outthere about not using stronger struts than stock, in order to keep the hood from bending and keep the strutmounts from snapping off. This is all good and true. But the hood have no problem with handling these 240n struts also. I have had them on for 1,5 year now and have no problems. A lot of opening and closing during this time with my restoration and the hood is not affected at all. So use these and have no more sagging hood on your Strosek...

Strosek Rear Wing (Spoiler) - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums
A question that came from an older thread. In par with the latest strut-info that I posted. To answer the last question in the above highlighted thread; The gasstruts to the hatch doesn't need to be stronger than original in order to keep it up with the big Strosek wing mounted. On my strosek, I changed my struts about 2 years ago and it still holds the hatch perfectly.

I did not participate in the Strosek car meeting in Germany. A friend sent me the pictures.
Here are some pictures of a Strosek 928 in Spain that was owned by a Norwegian guy.

Very interesting edition on that Norweigan car. Clearly a "version II" when you look at the front wheels with the shallow rims. But the wider front fenders with the sharp flares is something I have never seen on a genuine strosek. Almost suggests some pre-production flares before the "version III" fenders arrived. Or some custom option by the original owner...
