That's not an engine fire, it's an engine toilet. It's filthy, not burned. The guy put nitrous on it and took off the front right corner when he "hit the bottle"

The car is damaged by physical contact Old. Meaning that he "spun" when the NOS kicked.

On a related point, in 3 + years of watching internet sites I have seen many a 928 wrecked, damaged or otherwise mutilated. In this photo I see 3 more in the backround plus this one. I'm also sure the California connection( 928 International) has stripped many for donor parts, hundreds? My point is, I'm beginning to wonder how many are left.

I had a dream about that car...I think I could fix it
that 928 is at 20th street auto....same place mine came from
they have many 928's in various conditions of dissassembly and 944's and vettes
mine was totaled (right quarter and door)...I got the car and a matching door and quarter....I had it apart and back together in less than a week...
anyway I highly recomend them for fair prices and changing inventory...
Larry is very knowlegeable...although I dont think he knew or knows mine was a weissach
I check the site at least once a week.....you never know what you might find

That shark above certainly is fixable. Our monsoons really dust out a car. Mine was filthy in the 20th street pics but cleaned up with soap and water. 20th could be considered the big 4 if they posted and were more interactive here they would sell more parts.

Hey Rip,
I think your on to something there. How hard would it be to make an excel sheet listing vins still in operation. I am sure everyone on these sites would participate. That info would make for a great selling point for all of us shark owners. Man that would be cool.
Sorry for straying of topic.

Someone should get a full mechanical inspection on that car. It appears to have some body and suspension work needed. Sterling is right about the engine, tranny, etc...
