I've never heard of Hotcars, but hey they have good taste in top ten lists. And maybe I haven't spent enough time around all things 928, but that was the first time I heard our cars were nicknamed "The Egg"? |

The 928 is an incredibly built car that offers reliability and speed to anyone who pilots it. Nicknamed "The Egg" for its oval-like shape, the 928 has the classic '80s style pop-up headlights. And, since it was the '80s after all, Porsche decided a good engine mix would be an immense 5.7-liter V8 slapped into it. This would be the last time Porsche made a decision like this for a while and the 928 became special as a result. Clarkson praised it many years before that show. |

Most of the other cars are just as bad. Porsche never sold a road-legal 917. There were two (I think) that were made to be, but that's it. The 911 was not a 'mid-engined' car and the design wasn't 'revolutionary'. |
^^^TBH I only started to read the 928 section, then quit after a few glaring errors.
