Well, it didn't really amount to much either - just a bus ride for quite a while and then walk around town some to find a place to eat, then eat and walk back for the bus then home. It was a kind of nice diversion.

300 mile fun run including the Badlands
What else to do during the 300 mile fun run but have fun in action.
Here is Popo928's well sorted mid-mount Trubo 86.5 with very cool passenger...what an awesome Shark and DIY turbo!
Mr. Curry always a blast!!
The group in the fun run....tried to get a good line up.
Shark ran great...temps were hot that day and she was running warm but never too hot while cruising with AC blowing snow

One thing I really liked about Mt Rushmore is that it demonstrates very clearly that we true artisans do not like to clean up after ourselves:

I think it turned out that there were more door prizes there than there were registered people. We did a drawing on Friday afternoon late and everyone won a prize. I gave out a little over half of what I had brought and with the generous contribution of Roger T. and from the Owners Club, everyone won. I even won a very nice prize donated by Roger, and I think he said he had just bought it. I don't know if he bought it locally or just recently before he left home. Anyway, it is a very nice print of a picture of an early 928 and is signed and dated 1982 which happens to be the year of my Bamboo Beige car I went there in. Now I need to find a nice place to hang it. The second door prize drawing was held the morning of Sunday, but I slept thru that one. I think there were still enough prizes for everyone there to win again.

Rhonda's flight was supposed to leave at 4p, so I dropped her at the airport around 3 and took off for DFW. I was making really good time through South Dakota and a lot of the way into Nebraska. I was using my phone to navigate and it began to die, so I had to unplug my V1 to save the phone nav. Again, I was making really good time when I happened upon a very nice and courteous Nebraska uniformed official who gave me an invitation to return to Nebraska if I choose to return. I think that I will RSVP by mail and hope they won't be too disappointed that I don't show up in person. Drove all night since I had to go to the office and got home at 7:30 am. Slept a couple of hours and I'm at the office thinking about the wonderful hospitality that Harvey provided and the great time we had with everyone that was there.
