Vacuum hose replacement
I need to replace all of my vacuum hoses. The p.o. or the shop they used to service the car used completely wrong hoses in my car and I have an air leak that results in poor idle. What hoses and sizes should I use? I have an 80 Euro S and the WSM just has a diagram. PET gives my another diagram and Porsche part numbers, so I have no clue what the correct hoses should be.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. The vacuum hoses are the same between Euro and US? I just want to be sure. Thanks Rez.

I beleive US and Euro are the same. I have yet to hear otherwise. Be careful with all the "T" and "X" connections. If I had to do it again I would use a razor blade to cut the hose off. I broke a couple pulling mine off. The engine heat makes those plastic connector quite brittle. As for replacing mine. I'm going to replace them with standard sizes (1/8" for 3mm, 3/16" for 5mm, 3/8" for 9mm and 1/2" for 13mm), since I can obtain them at the local auto store.
Have fun!

The link doesn't call for a 5mm hose. It lists 3.2mm, 7mm, 9mm, 13mm, and 17mm. I'm planning to use:
3.2mm--1/8 in
7mm--1/4 in
9mm--3/8 in
13mm--1/2 in
17mm--5/8 in
3.2mm--1/8 in
7mm--1/4 in
9mm--3/8 in
13mm--1/2 in
17mm--5/8 in

I've read in a couple places that the 7mm might be too big and that 5mm is a better fit. You may want to get a small sample of the 1/4" and 3/8" to see which is the better fit before spending $ on the length.
