Default Nut: Brake Booster - Brake Master Cylinder (picture)

After i got good advice this week on replacing the master brake cyilinder i started with the removal today. Went great until i found the drivers side nut, which is virtualy inside the fender, does anyone have advice on a tool, procedure for this? I got a socket on there but can't get enough power on there to brake loose (yes i am blasting the thing with penatrating oil). Any experience on how to do it? I stopped being afraid of f*cking up the nut.

Thanks in advice!

There's a handy Cummins 13mm injector wrench that's all but designed specifically for this duty. You can find them at Toolsource https://www.toolsource.com/injector-...-p-114464.html and I'm sure there are similar at other places. There are certain 13mm and 1/2" offset distributor wrenches that may also work. These are often referred to as "offset" or "angle" wrenches.

In UK they are referred to as “half moon spanners”. Not usually seen on shelf at retail tool places, but widely available online.

It worked out by using 2 cutting 2 cheap tools. It took me 1 hour to get it out. 7.23 hours to get it in what a b*tch of a job...

but it worked out well! Drinking a beer with sore fingers Thanks everybody!

Good work! Google "stubby metric wrench set." You will find a lot of tight-space uses for these on the 928.
(FYI, if you thought the M/C was tight....try changing out the booster!)

Now this is strange! I live in NO too and I too have a my 79. My MC has threaded holes with bolts coming from the pedal side of the bulkhead. No nuts.

Stirling/Jason: What is that angled/pivoted gear wrench from Craftsman called. I've never seen that before.

They aren’t craftsman. They are gear wrench brand.

Just looked at them they are craftsman. Bought them back in the day when the name meant something.
