Default Asking for a/c help

I am looking for one of these (928.126.903.00 is the part # I think). I don’t think the damaged one I have will not leak. I ordered one on eBay but it has a smaller opening than the one I need. 82 Euro S

Note if you're converting to R134 swap the schrader valves for new 134 compatible ones.

Did you try 918 international? I would think they would have see plenty dead compressors they could pull one off of.

The new used part arrived. Not as pristine as I hoped but I guess it will work. Am I correct in thinking that no o-ring, sealant paste or Teflon tape is used at this connection?

Be sure to replace the o-rings under both manifold plates, plus the ones in the port caps. Schraeder valves under the safety switch, and the pressure transducer on S4+ cars. The R-134a port adapters would really rather not have any Schraeder valves underneath.

What kind of car are you working on? (hint: put year/model info in a signature section...)

82 Euro S (in the first post). I am slowly trying to get A/C back on line. No telling when it last functioned. I ordered all the R134-a conversion stuff from Roger (2 new hoses included) and rebuilt the Denso compressor. I bought a flush kit and a vacuum pump with nice manifold and fittings. I have been studying up (reading a lot of your posts) I am ready to move on to flushing. I decided to use PAG46 oil. So far I have only used it to lube a few things when rebuilding compressor

I have the expansion valve out. I dreaded that job due to all the horror stories so it feels good to have that done. The new exp valve does not come with the insulated diaphragm cover. Should I use the old one or go without? Also I need to have the evaporator to dryer line rebuilt. Can it be removed from an 82 CIS with the engine in?

Just run it without. It won't fit over the new one anyways. Trust me, I've tried.

Another thing to make sure of is that the PAG you're using is double end capped, or dec. It isn't as sensitive to residual mineral oil and takes much longer to break down in comparison.

replace all the O rings AFTER you have flushed the system and its clean.
NOTE every connection will have an O ring in it
