Getting the plug wires crossed is very easy to do as is taking a pic or two before you remove any!
Nowadays I take pics before I touch anything no matter how much experience I may have under my belt.

The good news is I did have the plug wires in the wrong spot. Specifically 2,3 and 6,7. Yep I’m an idiot.
It's an easy mistake to make. You will no doubt learn from it.
Glad to hear you found the problem (well, A problem, anyway).
Care to guess how so many of us knew to suggest it as a possible problem?

Based on the last picture I was wondering what that picture is for? as the numbers are not near the timing marks
Your damper is put on the correct way.
The T fitting that comes off the oil fill breather hose should have a small hole inside it if you replaced this T with a new part ,
you might have gotten a part thats not got a restriction in it.
FWIW the timing marks when they are lined up will be hard to read with the throttle quadrant attached.
that said i would suggest that you replace the temp 2 connector , add a new boot ,
cut the wires back a bit to get fresh wire, solder the ends to the wire,
insert them into the housing then add some silicone to the backside of the connector housing,
then let it cure,
then slide the boot on.
Its also hard to see but did you replace the TPS short harness?,
if not it would be a wise investment as they all snap off at the mounting point.
Get the battery load tested if its not perfect after recharging,
replace it.

Someone wanted me to post a picture of the harmonic balancer, I guess to make sure I got it on correctly.
I have not replaced the T fitting or TPS harness. I need to replace the entire front wiring harness. The wires are brittle and the connectors are corroded. But before I get to that, the brakes need an overhaul which includes replacing the master cylinder. You can see how corroded it is in the first picture. It looks like it’s spent it’s entire life seaside.
