Default Panamera Rim/Tire Size Question (Non Staggered ?)

I've been looking for 18" rims for my S3. I found a local pair of 10 spoke Panamera but they are all the same 9" rim size and same 53ET.

Any thoughts on running these with 235/40 upfront and 265/30 in the rear ?

Other options ? I originally thought I wold like staggered.

Those are 4 wheels for the rear. Front ones should be 8'' (et 59).
Will they fit in front, can't say for sure but probably not.

One other option is the Carrera III wheels.
8'' front, et 57.
10'' rear, et 58.

They fit very well on the 928.
A lot of us have them on our cars.

I run the 10 spokes. They are staggered with a higher ET in the front at 59 on a 8 inch width and the rears are 9 with an et of 53.

They don't rub so long as you don't go for a super wide tire that bulges out a lot past the rim.

The fronts are closer to the edge of the fenders but clear no problem and the rears have about 2 finger widths before the rear quarter's edge.

I personally match tread width to rim width (you can get this info on tire rack for any tire they sell) so I went with 235 up front and 255 in the rear using Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires.

A 265 in this variety is over 10 inches wide while a 255 is a perfect 9.

Tread width varies from company to company for any 1 sidewall width so a 235 Michelin could be narrower or wider than a 235 Continental etc.

Yup, these are off a Panamera and have snows on them. The wheel fitment calculator said they would fit but I agree that I should wait for staggered set. Unfortunate since its a great deal 10 minutes from me.

I'm having a rough time finding something that works and is local. I'm still running the 16" flat disk with 10 year old miss matched tires that are hard a s a rock - as I got it a year ago.

I have these on my 88 and am running 235/40 on front and 275/35 on rears, no issues what so ever.

I'm running Panamera staggered 18s on my 85, haven swapped them to the 86.5 yet so can't say if there is any significant difference in clearance though I don't suspect there will be. I have 235/40 front and 265/35 rear. If I were to loose 10mm of offset in the rear, they wouldn't clear the fenders. don't think there's much chance especially with those rear tires.

Got a nice set of 5 spoke staggered Panamera rims on the way. F=8/18/et59 R=9/18/et53

So now the tire issues. From recent threads, it seems best size choice is 235/40 and 265/35. I like the idea of 275 in the back but she's only going to be driven a round town and occasional trips and I don't want to deal with any fitment issues.

I narrowed tires down to the following (Michellin are a bit pricey so I've ruled them out)
- Conti Extreme Contact Sport
- Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
- Sumitomo ?? the HTR-Z 3 aren't in this size at tire rack but they do have the HTR-Z 5 which I couldn't find any comments about in the forum

Also, best place to get caps and new lugs ?
