'85 S3 Intake Gaskets; dry or wet?

Yes, the head gaskets are on the radar. They haven't failed yet I don't think and I'm taking the risk my coolant leak involved the water bridge alone at this point. I'm just trying to get the car fixed up to move from my old shop to the new one in Paso Robles right now since I'm selling the old shop. Once the whole shop is moved along with the car I plan to do the head gaskets, cam seals, chain pads and timing chains. Probably next winter.

In terms of time, might be more efficient to have it towed....

True, but I think I have a good chance o fixing the leak and driving it. I wouldn't want to have it towed with the intake open. I will have the parts car towed, I sealed its intake with my only set of those 928 Intl. (I think it was them) intake covers so I'm not as concerned about it. I'll rebuild that entire engine before I use it again.
