Wow that looks good. What is the covering?

Hymodyne 05-22-2019 11:59 AM

vinyl, but very soft , almost like microfiber/suede. Much better for this application than the marine vinyl I had on before.

He's going to create new defrost vents for me as well.

Outstanding work.

Is this just a one off or is he interested in doing a couple of mine? :-)

And is he recovering your pod as well?

Hymodyne 05-22-2019 12:09 PM

He is also recovering the pod. I have already spoken to him about possible other owners wanting this type of work done. I'm pretty sure he will do others if asked.

Impressive! you doing the center console to match...door panels etc.

Hymodyne 05-22-2019 12:55 PM

Using the original leather on center console and door cards, I'm hoping to match/ contrast the dash with a dye.

Did you find that this was more cost effective than using Budd?

Hymodyne 05-22-2019 02:25 PM

This fellow is a neighbor. I don't know what Budd's prices are for this kind of work.

Looks great, and no seams. Please fill us in on the material you are using, and the technique used to get it around the contours without apparent stretch marks.

Do you know the the name of the vinyl you’re using? Looking good!

I'm in west Africa now until the 22nd. When I get home I'll post some more pictures. The supplier that redid my dash will do the work on dash and pod for $800.00. I'll provide an email when I'm back home.

That looks great James! Hope to see it in person this August or into the fall.
