Ok, so the car is pink but what the hell is the thing on the hood supposed to be. Looks like a Japanese cartoon monster or something. And not only what is is, but why????

Someone in Vancouver, BC (near the seller) please get photos inside and out of the Pink Spiderman 928 and post them here. I can imagine this thing is a true "one off."
So, Tony, is the timing belt toast?
How much are the asking? If it is a manual tranny and the price is less than $5k, I'll buy it and repaint it

Hey, it's supposed to be a "neutral" car - one that represents all cars. Yes, you can argue the lights resemble a C-Class, but what else is Mercedes-like?

I went and had a look at this car on the weekend. I know a few people will want to whack me upside the head for saying this, but it’s actually not a bad deal…
It’s an 85 4-speed auto with 72k Kilometers and 2 previous owners. The paint colour does leave something to be desired, but it was done well at least. The picture is definitely something that belongs in a Marvel comic… 32 valve engine in it, and the engine compartment looks good. The hoses aren’t brittle or old. I’d guess that they’ve been replaced at some point during its life.
This is kind of the kicker, the interior is in very good shape. I didn’t see any rips in the leather, though there was some wear marks on the drivers side. A little black die would fix that up nicely. Overall the leather was in very good shape though a little tired looking. A little effort could turn that around easily. There are 2 big cracks on the dash, and the vents have small cracks between them, not unexpected for any 928 really. The center console and the rest of the carpets look like they’re all in good shape. There is probably $2k+ worth of custom stereo in there as well. I’m not really interested in making cars go boom, but it still sounded quite good at a reasonable listening level. It could be fun at the drive-in or the beach. It’s got a custom steering wheel as well, BBS 16” wheels, and brand new rubber.
It’s got a custom exhaust system, sounds kind of like a 67 Stingray. It drives strong, good pick-up and go, smooth shifting. The electronics all work inside, windows, wipers, even the AC and all the dash lights seemed to work.
The body is obviously a wide-body kit. It was mint other than a single small crack about 1” long that I found under the drivers side door. I really didn’t even see any paint chips from normal driving. There is a black piece of plastic missing underneath the “9” in 928 on the drivers side door sill plate.
What’s wrong with it? The colour for one… TB/water pump needs to be done. The coolant light inside is coming on, but the car wasn’t overheating and felt strong. Probably just a defective temp sensor. None of the fog lights work, but it did look like it had brand new glass on the fog lights. If it had a kick-down, it wasn’t working.
I’ve got no relation to the guy that’s selling this, but I was seriously wondering if the guy would do a swap with my S4… The guy will come down from the 18k Canadian that he was asking, how far though is a question. If you can get past the pain job, this is a nice car that would need very minimal maintenance.
