Default Installing fuel rails with injectors/bleeding the system

What is going on guys? I got new seals for the injectors and re-installed everything. Before I try to start her, do I have to pull the coil wire and bleed the system of air on the passenger side fuel rail? Is there a necessity for this and is there a correct method that I should be following. Thanks in advance. 81 U.S. spec 928 auto. Steve

Jumper the fuel pump relay, let it run jumpered (no engine on) for 5min...check for leaks everywhere. This will also bleed the air from the rails.

Thanks Mr. Speedtoys. I hate to sound like such a newbie but could I get a little more detail on how to jump the fuel pump relay? First time for this. I appreciate the feedback. Trying to get this baby started. Thanks again.

You can make a jumper with a short piece of wire and 2 male spade connectors.

Yup, put a booster on the battery at the same time, it helps..

You will hear the air rushing thry the system too.

Heavy gauge (12 GA) jumper wire with two male spades. Insert one spade in relay terminal socket 87 and then into terminal 30. (Look at the back of the relay for terminal numbers.)

A better way to do this is to get a 20+ AMP switch and use several feet of 10 or 12 GA wire. This way you can plug it in, in the 'off' position and then while you're under the hood you can toggle it on and then quickly off if you see a leak rather than having to run back to the panel to pull the jumper while fuel spews everywhere.

So in a nut shell...........jump it, run the fuel pump which runs full up and returns it to the tank and in the process bleeds the air! Thanks again guys! You all are the shiznit!

Just turn they key. It bleeds itself inside of 20 seconds.

Th purpose of the relay jump diagnostic, is to let it run under high pressure for some time, to check for leaks. Not to just clear the air.
