For newbies....I was one once...
Roger Tyson. 928sRus.com. Call him, he doesnt do web very well. he is in Texas
He sells excellent quality modern hoses made by Greg Brown, of Precision Motorworks, in Orange CA. You can also buy direct from Precision, if you call them, you should speak with Mary.
Some hoses are also still available from Porsche.

Keep looking.
The "last" time cloth braided fuel hose was used, by Porsche, was on a 914, in 1973. Not suitable for use in a 928.
The "perfect" hose from the fuel injection rails to the injectors is 999 181 152 50, which is available from Porsche in 1 meter lengths.

construction of fuel hose
The original EFI hose is a nylon core hose with a rubber covering. The nylon is needed because the barbs on the injectors are too
sharp oir rubber. The rubber is only for additional protection. Clamps are used on the nylon only.
I saw that roger had a stainless steel version which seems to be available in AN sizes.
I've seen Teflon hoses also.
What I think would look sharp and not shred would be a 7-7.5 mm stainless steel hose with a Teflon or nylon core

Fobermueller - my advice to you with, a respect, is to listen to what is being said and take heed. You are entering a conversation that started 10 to 15 years ago and has since been resolved many times over.
You are correct about the Cohline hose being what Porsche used 20 to 30 years ago. Personally I found the current Cohline hose way to hard and inflexible. Technology has moved forward in leaps and bounds since then.
I do not sell SS braided fuel hoses but only those made by Porsche or Greg Brown as they are simply the best available. You get what you pay for but once done you can forget about the issue for many years.
I suggest you do a search regarding 928 fires before you jump in the deep end.

Ha... I felt I received my Bachelor of Science Degree on Rennlist researching Fuel Lines...seriously. I know I researched about 2-3 hours every day for month. I bookmarked the heck out of my phone. Finally, I got mine from Roger and the Greg Brown Fuel Lines. Fobermueller- I guess you didn't notice Greg Browns avatar. Good luck with your quest.

As far as the hoses from the fuel rail to the injectors are concerned, use the Porsche hose that I suggested in my post #10. Do not use clamps, but "extract" the little top and bottom "hats", which act like a clamp, without actually clamping down on the barbs (which can cut the hose.) I, and I'm guessing Roger, keep multiple meters of this hose, in inventory, for immediate shipping.

If you are brave you can get just the nylon hose from Dorman. It is super cheap, designed exactly for this application, and fits easily over the stripped and cleaned stock fittings if you heat it with a heat gun. I have good luck using it, but find myself not driving the car I did this way, because it scares me a bit. I do not in anyway represent that this is best or even good practice, but it is pretty much the same as the inner layer of the stock hoses.
Even if I were recommending it, I would still tell you to always listen well to what Greg and Roger suggest. We are fortunate to get advice from such masters.
