Default Y connector for cruise and vacuum tank

in this photo the Y connector is attached directly to the 4 way. was the location changed on later cars? I don't see any evidence of the Y in my engine bay. off the 4 way I have a line that goes thru the inner fender thru a rubber grommet.

Earlier models used vacuum on the cruise control unit- yours [1990] does not- what you did not say in your photo is what model that picture came from- my guess is it was a pre S4 model photo.

no idea. I just pulled that off a previous rennlist post.
