Default Boge - Proper Pronunciation?

I've always called them Bogh, until recently someone whom I respect greatly in the 928 community called them Bogey (ala Humphrey).

So what's the proper way to pronounce Boge shock absorbers?

duh - I didn't include this choice (type a reply if that's your choice):

Bogey

Interesting. I would have never guessed that. Kind of like the proper pronunciation of ****** as in the Jeep. It's pronounced Willis. It wasn't until last year when I realized I was saying that wrong my entire life. But regardless I still say Will'ees' 😊

Why is it so difficult for you Americans to pronounce a proper "e" at the end of a word?

'Cuz English is such a conglomeration of other languages. There really aren't any pronunciation 'rules', or 'code', just 'guidelines'.

Cough
Through
Bough
Dough
Enough

Once you get to a proper noun (name), all bets are off.

Actually they are now Sachs and the Boge name disappeared a long time ago.
Maybe better to know the correct pronunciation of Sachs.
Why the picture shows up side down I have no idea.

So I thought I'd go to the authoritative on-line source, the Urban Dictionary, to see what it says. Not disappointed.
