How much does your car weigh?
After reading the CS ariticle in 000 I became courious what my car actually weighs .....
I put my 86.5 with a half full tank on the scale yesterday. 3320# I left some coins in the ash tray...I guess this is not a very Porsche thing to do. Also I have my house key on the key fob...another no no. |
Just Peachy, MY80, all fluids and 1/4 tank of fuel...3,083lbs. (LS3 motor-100lbs, GM 6spd trans diff+50lbs) T

The old very brown 1980 is just under 3.000 lbs with a bolt in "roll bar" .

Less than yours as I replaced the roof and 3 glass windows with some canvas and a plastic one - lowered the center of gravity too :)

My 1987 S4 was really close to the factory spec at 1576 kg (3467 lbs), complete with all tanks full.
This is a Euro car, no option but the alarm. My former 1989 CS was around 1520 kg (3344 lbs) in the same conditions. It is heavy for a CS, with regular seats. I will let you know when I will put my current 1988 CS on a scale. I hope that it will close to the official 1480 kg (3256 lbs). |
My car as rear air and I think this adds a few #'s

The Outlaw GT has not made it to a scale since the last phase of its diet. I kept a partial list of items that came out and had tallied slightly over 300 lbs deleted. I now estimate between 400 & 500 lbs in total weight loss.
Will document this after I get it on scales to corner balance it. > |
