What changed between 02 87-88 pump and 03 89-? I’ve seen places selling same Bosch pump to cover 87-95. Is that error on their part?
Both pumps have the same output so should work in all cases. The issue is supply and price. 02 is gone and 03 is in short supply and will be gone soon. As a supplier I look for sustainable sources and I am sure if you are looking for one individual pump you can find one.
I am sure we will find an alternative or pay the Porsche premium.

Yes. The Standard PR71 and PR68 are both still available for around $100. Those are both fuel pressure regulators. The dampeners are a different animal and are now sky high.

Is the PR71 only compatible with certain model years? If so does anyone know which ones?

Cool, thanks for the info! Are the 87+ FPRs super expensive as well or are they still reasonably priced?

Bosch 87+ FPR's are hard to find and pricey. Standard are not. I bought a Standard a few months ago in the hope there would be a Bosch unit in the box. No such luck, but I am now glad I didn't send it back.

Just had this delivered for UKP 93.

Good insurance for my S4. No probs with current pump but this thread made me nervous!
