Accessing power steering fluid lines (radiator line) Clamp -UPDATE

Hi All,
I am in the process of replacing all power steering hoses and lines.
I have removed everything except the curved lines as indicated in the attached two pictures. Second pictures is from another post so you know what I am referring to.
How do you access number 30 Clamp? What items do I need to remove in order to be able to see them?
Car: 1988 Porsche 928 S4

In your second picture, I have never seen these lines crossing the back of the front cross member. Is this from a LHD machine?

The PET picture your referencing shows the power steering cooler lines that cross the lower front radiator support.
with the hood open you can see this line secured to the lower core support the U part of the line passes under the receiver drier

Thanks that is what I was asking, I can not see it, let me try again

Stan - Thanks. I can see the U lines on the radiator support secured with two white clamps. I think the two lines are also clamped at the vertical section. but it is not visible from down or up. l wondering what the trick is?

On my UK car - RHD, of course - the power steering lines (17 and 18 in the PET diagram) run the width of the car and are bolted to the cross member like that so the picture looks like it's from a RHD car to me.

As Stan says you should be able to see line 29 underneath the receiver drier looking downwards. There was no clamp on the vertical part of this line but I did have to remove the radiator and unbolt the condenser to make enough space to get it out.

I concur. On my '89 those P/S do not cross across the car like that.
Everything shown in the diagram by the OP is located within LH and front of the car. No lines are aft of the steering box.
The only line that crosses the "width" of the car is the cooling loop that goes from left to right near the bottom of the radiator, making a big u-turn back to the reservoir.

Picture in post #1 is a RHD car.

Indeed Roger would know!
What threw me off was the OP description was "radiator line" which I took to mean the line that runs along the radiator. I guess he doesn't have that at all, instead he has a "loop line" along the x-member?

oh man, I really hope I don't have to remove the radiator and A/C parts. Has anybody done that while the radiator is intact?

Mrmerlin 04-08-2019 03:04 PM

you should really leave the hard line alone,
cut off the swages with a dremel and refit fresh hose and clamps
