Default BeerFish back to the track May 04

FYI.

In the front yard!
Not that anybody cares... but I have decided... NOT to sell and rip some track time instead!

Summit Point, WV, May 04, 2019, if you care to see a rare 928 CRUSH some other super green novice drivers, lets do this!!

Wish JPTL would join me. Could use some help from KL too, like the car hauler... just sayin.

Any locals wanna make an appearance of support, I hope my slow little euro wont disappoint against those big bad Corvettes drifting away in the rear view mirror.

:-)

AWESOME!

If I can put the funds together. Still unemployed btw. I wanna haul everything up Friday. Celebrate "a little". Jam Saturday, then party Sat night and Sunday. Free entry for spectators.

Just so everyone knows, I could NO WAY do this without FRAGGLES awesome help. A show of 928's in the pits would be a HUGE booster. Just hope I dont break it for you.

Hey John,

Nice to see that you're not selling your car.

Have fun on the track and enjoy the full weekend!

Thanks for the good words guys! Marti, hope to see ya up there in the pits! Sean, Im working on placement of a Snap-On GoPro so the tach, speedo and track can all be seen but the rear view mirror will definitely block some view.

Fraggle tech inspection passed, brake fluid flushed and filled with the naughty old forbidden OBG race blue fluid and damn-it, race beer holders removed.

Less than 3 weeks!!

OK. Its starting to finally come together. This is going to be a HUGE crowded race day!! Right now with 8 days left to register there are 103 cars registered to run!!! Going to be crowded! I might need to wrap my car in painters tape!!

I have my camper and the dually ready to go Friday around 2pm. Track is an hour away. I have borrowed a trailer and a friend to haul the monster up at the same time. We probably wont be allowed to enter the track until 7pm. (parking lot pre-party led by Fraggle!!) We will definitely drink some more, there are very few rules at the track, but Steve and I might take it a little easy, you are welcome to continue. There are NO housing accommodations at the track. We camp out (or sleep in vehicles). There are local outside hotels and AirBnB's. Once we get let in the track it is the first race to secure a pit spot. So I have no idea where we will be, may even be in the woods near the tech shed to get some shade. By the way, we are racing the MAIN circuit with SCCA. We will probably have a large crowd around our pit, look for Fraggle drinking in the Fraggle-wagon, which he just finished restoring.

My buddy Steve who always comes to the Frenzy meetups has committed to racing his cherry 1981 RX-7 gen 1 Saturday also.

We will party Saturday night and spectate the "racing" Sunday until its time to head home. Bring food and beer, Shawn will have great cigars, wine and cheese is NOT welcome!! Summit Point has a cafe with expensive horrible food and ice open until 2pm each day.

Anyone planning to show up is welcome, I could sure use the support and car knowledge while a million things will be flying thru my head. CANT WAIT!!!

I will try to make it. I'm about 30 minutes from the track but earliest I could arrive would be about 9:30 Saturday morning, and I'd have to bring my boys with me, and leave around noon to take them home and return around 2:00. Or, I could skip the morning and just arrive around 2:00. Glad you're keeping your car, John. Great to hear Fraggle has been helping out and has finished the Van.

So, we're camping out? I have a big-*** tent that can accommodate three or four (depending on how good of friends you are). It'll be good practice for Camp 928.

I'll be in the Cayenne, so I can bring tools. I can also bring my Quick Jack if there's a source of 110v power.
