Sterling,

Great to see your car coming back to life! Your efforts and innovation over the years have been an inspiration to all us. Here are a few other photos from the 2009 OCIC:

Love the rear quarters, wish all 928's came that way from Porsche.

Up close, the color is more copper than brown, what color is it?

Color is Cognac Metallic Braun. at night it is dark cinnamon, In bright sunlight, copperish, and on cloudy days or sunset it takes on a pearlescent hue. Quarters were GTS factory, and then massaged out an extra inch on each side for wider tires. Also whacked the wing, and rear wiper.

Sterling,

Searched an old hard drive and found more photos. It looks great! Seems like it was only yesterday.

In the old world we have the side markers behind the front wheels not in front of the wheels.

Headers are in, it took about 6 hours to do the passenger side alone. (5 pieces per side including the collector.. I finally had to drop the steering rack to get them in. got the cross member and motor mounts installed. Time to get the rack back in. I forgot that when I reworked the 928 International headers to fit within the heat shields I wanted to make sure I could remove the lower bell housing without taking the headers or exhaust out. Once the rack in installed, mounting the compressor and the PS/Alternator bracket should wrap up the underneath work in the front.

Did you have a reason for not installing them while the engine was out?

Done it lots of times with a 32v GT motor as well as 16v motor.

The biggest clearance problem are the cam sprocket covers, and the headers are never a problem.

Are the 928-International headers that much different?
