That hood looks awesome Sterling and I'm sure that when its all done you will rock as one of the coolest 928s in history. Make it happen dude!

I've gotten quite a bit of flack for the hood mods and it's not even painted. The hood is tweaked a bit so I don't even know if I will be able to use it.

Default Hood mods

Sterling, donít look at what I did to my hood - Iím quietly quite happy with how it turned out. I havenít had many emails asking how other owners might convert their own

Im even more happy with the ITBs and what they have done for the car. What kind of engine management will you be using? It took me quite some time to get the finer details smooth for every day driveability.

Well, lets try this again. Had some interruptions last weekend, as the house is on the market.... it gave me some time to work on a few more things with the engine out. Shooting for the final installation tomorrow.

Always loved the color on this car. Going to look awesome when back on the road.

Motor is in, & bolted to the bell housing along with entire drive train, for the 1st time since 2009. Still need to get the motor mounts in and tightened down. I may be able to get the headers installed tomorrow before DK gets here to help install the hood tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Ahhhh...

It's impossible. It will never fit and if it does fit, it won't work...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Sounds like you are making real progress. Good luck.

2009???? Has it been that long? I still remember your grand entrance in to the convention center at OCIC 2009 (Captured on video and still on YouTube, skip to 4:28)

I didn't get to the hood installation stage today because I decided to get the headers installed and getting some of the bolts for the front crossmember required some persuasion to break loose so I didn't get the headers in either.

I had to move the hood so I may as well take a pic.

I think it looks good Sterling. Looks kinda like the hood on my old GT, just a little shorter. LOL. I still have my hood in the back closet. One day.......

I forgot all about that video~! one of the few video's of my 928 running.

Today was not about progress. went to install the lower bell housing, and one of the threads was stripped. bummer... no problem drill it out to install a timecert and drill bit broke off. I've never had that happen. I was able to back it out with pliers, and get the cert in. Then I find that the starter isn't quite clocked properly. arg.... call to IMI tomorrow morning..... see if they can get the part reclocked.
