It must be a great feeling to finally have the engine installed after such a long time. Yours is not the only project dragging out over time, I have a couple being much older.

Not meant to go off topic on Sterling's awesome thread, but someone had mentioned about the M5 intake trumpets on an ITB 928. This project will be coming out of mothballs pretty soon.

actually I stoped posting some things that I do on my car simply because of the Internet engineer mentality and this forums tendency of everybody to dog pile on stuff that you’re designing. Stuff you’re doing when they’ve never done anything even close. Everyone is a mechanical engineer it seems. Back in my variocam days some folks told me I couldn’t possibly do something I already did. So when it comes to the air box it won’t be up for debate. I will just post pics when it is done.

I've been wondering about your project for quite some time now, glad to hear it's ramping up again.

Just a fantastic job, a huge amount of work right there
Got to admire the dedication.
When it’s all said in done it will be so interesting to see dyno results for the set up.
Hope to see you up and running soon
