Default Power steering pump shaft seal access

1985/6 Euro S2

Had a good look through the list at but can't find any reference as to how to gain access to the power steering pump shaft seal? I have the pump split , shaft must pull off somehow but can't fathom it.

Will try to post pictures later

The pump is identical to the 944. The only difference is the pulley and pressure relief valve spring.

Here are are a couple references for rebuild. I rebuilt mine a couple years ago and it was a pretty easy straightforward rebuild.

Update - seal replacement went very easily. Most difficult part is getting the snapring off but thereafter its a doddle. Thanks again Michael
