Differences in an Auto S4 motor/Manual S4 motor?
Besides the stamping on the block, what do I need to do/change/modify to install an 'auto engine' into my S4, a factory 5spd?

Engines should be the same.

I think all the 928s have a steel crankshaft - I know my Challenger R/T with a manual has the MDS deactivated AND these engines come with a Steel crankshaft whereas the automatics have a cast crank. I like Steel better! lol

Pretty simple the auto engine will give you lots of extra power.

Auto has an extra mounting point on the throttle quadrant. Also an extra vacuum connection.
In addition to the flywheel & pilot bearing.
Internals are the same, AFAIK.

Well,
My S4 Flywheel all freshened up and trued up, I love the cross-hatch pattern, good machine shops are getting harder to find.
I'll ask...I will find out, but, is the Pilot Bearing in this pic?
I have Coffee Table plans for this engine, and, will be more creative and balanced than the ones out there!
Roger's left leg needs one of these!
And I will miss this 5spd engine number! LOL!

The pilot bearing fits in the hole in the back of the crank.
The nose of the intermediate shaft fits into it.
It's what supports the intermediate shaft when you push the pedal in and the shaft stops spinning while the engine (and crank) still turns.
