The easiest way to get the right parts for what you need is to CALL either 928srus (http://928srus.com/) or 928 International (http://www.928intl.com/), explain what you are doing, and they will get you the correct parts. They will look up the correct part numbers, and you will have them in your hands in a few days. These suppliers are 928 specialists and enthusiasts, and know these cars. A phone conversation is best.

Thanks for the video. I've seen it. Doesn't say much about the how to do it, though...
The how is why I am here. To learn how from those that can/will offer that kind of information...
Lots of vids out there. Many are a few seconds long. Unless I missed it.

Thanks BRB!
Maybe I'll give em a call. Both here on the site and I'm sure when I make the call to the shops above,,, especially at first,,, I'm always a bit worried (and embarassed) to show how little I know about a machine that others have so much passion for and experience with. I guess I need to get over that (like I did with Jag folks) and pick up the phone. I do have a big ol "CART" full off stuff at 928srus for when I am more ready to refresh the intake and the top of BooBerrys engine... But yes,,, I'll call.

Thanks again
Jayson

Got my little bits and pieces and I am pleased...

Took all of y'alls suggestions and advise and I'm halfway thru and couldn't be more pleased with the results!!! Stuck with the original clips but so far I've done the top end,,, have to get underneath and install the cup,,, but replacing the shifter, and eliminating the springs, oblong oval bush and lubing things up in there has made a startling difference....! So much so that I don't know if I need to do the cup right away - but I will...

Do have my concerns about mess'n with the exhaust shields and such,,, its like messing with plumbing in an old house - start on the second floor bathroom and before you know it you're at the water main in the street,,, but I project too much, lol. Glad I have good insurance and mental health options, lololol...

ICS, thank you! Got me a new unique vice grip, to boot!

You guys are MOST excellent - I'll include some photos of the shifter, done, when I am less embarrassed at the condition and looks of the area, lol

Hmm. Now I'm getting funny sounds from the clutch. Short spirts of chatter or grinding (but not exactly that) when I shouldn't be... Clutch in... Is this like starting a small plumming in the old house,,, and soon I will be out in the street, at the water main?
