search for who's already done this running a 928 motor...small group I believe. Hopefully Carl @ 928 Motorsports will chime in, IIRC he's done more than a few 928 motor/Z06 trans-diff conversions. T

Dinsdale was the first 928/Z06 6spd conversion that I know of and later swapped in a V12 Jap motor. 2nd was Just Peachy...but that was with an LS3 motor. Pretty sure Carl and possibly Dinsdale have sold some conversion kits to the 928 motor DIY crowd. T

This is an area of compromise, it is one of the reasons I’m building a custom section for the back of TR box to then be able to use the smaller Porsche differential housing. However this is quite costly.

Sterling, how about a nice clean side exit exhaust? Maybe through the rocker panel with a stainless cover plate.

LOL. I got you. I was meaning "side exit" though, like right in front of the rear wheels. I know that you're going for a clean look so that's out. Good luck on getting it figured out. With your masterful engineering, I know you will. :-)

What's your target hp?
I ask because 2.5" ID supports a lot of hp while being much more space-friendly vs 3".

I've done quite a few, but these cars are owned by guys who like modifying stuff. The last one had 4 exhaust tips out the bottom of the rear bumper, 2 on each side of the license plate.
In other words, most of the installs have been a "build to suit" deal to incorporate the exhaust that the car had when it is dropped off here.
I did find this one picture for you of what I did to a stock 928 S4-type exhaust to get it around the differential. Hope it helps.
