Hans said that he didn't know how I could upgrade my car any more, and then this happened. She is the wife of the certified BMW mechanic at the AutoHaus, which sponsored our Sunday gathering. Your right, Hans, that was a solid upgrade to my car!

WOW! What an epic event! I will reiterate what everyone else has already said as to what a spectacular event this was and how much fun I had. The planning was top notch and the entire event flowed seamlessly. There seemed to be only a few brief moments of down time that I definitely needed so I could just sit down a rest for a few. I met a lot of new folks and saw many that I hadn't seen for awhile along with a few of the usual suspects. I enjoyed everyone's company and I can't say enough on how awesome this community is.
Scott did a spectacular job although he refused to accept any of the credit throughout the event. He is a class act for sure.
Andrew's car was outstanding and his passion for the car, the history and the people is contagious. He has influenced me without a doubt! Big thanks to him for all that he did. Also a huge thankyou to everyone else, individuals and vendors, that contributed and helped to make it what it was! This was an event that I won't ever forget.
Here are a few pics:
View from the room. Best hotel view I've ever had!
Getting parked and ready for the day.
Awesome turnout!
Sea full of sharks!
#1 just sitting and looking pretty
A moment's break at the café looking over the track.
Hot laps on this track was a BLAST!!
Porsche archeology
Pretty cool planter
Strosek I believe
Shop dog taking a break
Pretty cool ceiling art. I had to take a picture before I could make out what it was. Couldn't tell by just looking at it.
View from the hotel bar.
The MEG! Thanks, Carl, for explaining everything about the car when I was under it. It is very impressive!!
Quick stop at Talladega on the way home

Overall this was a spectacular weekend! It was a good sign for the future of the 928 for PCA to acknowledge the model. This will aid the reduction of the fate of the 928's, etc I included in the images posted.

Got back last night. My 'stay-the-eff-away-from-Virginia' route took 21 hours and 13 minutes via Tail of the Dragon and an extra hour 'cause I missed my route North from Deals Gap; got distracted by the awesome roads and scenery.
I can't add a lot that hasn't been more-eloquently put: Awesome event. Scott, Drooman, et.al. did a standout job. Not repeatable. Once-in-a-lifetime. Face-to-face with folks known heretofore only on Rennlist.
I'm posting late enough that most of the 'good' pictures I took have already been posted. Here's a couple...
The commemorative coins:
A few of the Brumos collection:
Porsche tractor in "Fat Pig" livery. (CarChick, grew up on a farm, says she kinda wants a Porsche tractor. WTF am I gonna do with a tractor?)
A tip for staying at the hotel across from PEC: Ask for an even-numbered room with view of the PEC grounds.
Last but not least, some folks didn't realize how inexpensive, compared to a DE or 'real' school, it is to thrash one of PEC's cars on the test track for 90 minutes. Of all the DEs, AXs, and driving schools I've done over the last 20 years, PEC's 'school' is the best in terms of the learning-to-dollar ratio. If you're anywhere close to PEC, just do it! You'll learn a ton (but, mostly, how much more practice you need )

This pic reminded me of something that hasn't been covered yet... the exceptional quality and diversity of cars in attendance was really apparent. We had a number of GTs and GTSs, including euros of both. TWO aventurine green GTSs, Euro S cars, early pasha, lots of rare colors, lots of just SUPER nice condition cars, and of course Carl's monster stood out. Can't forget "Beyonce" (GTR's XX8) that almost didn't make it! My personal favorite was Roger's SE.. I love these cars in red, and those seats! plus the right hand drive, if I could pick one to take home that would be it just because its so damn and wonderfully obscure. Roger was kind enough to offer me some drive time but the day got away from me, I didn't even get any pics of it.

Hans,
Thank you for the work you did on the shirts. Everyone really liked them. Also for instructing me on the proper use of the
Built in 928 bottle opener .

Lurking in the back of Hans's 928 was a collection of billet art (in addition to the shifter)...
Can you say Supercharge it?
Where is the bottle opener on this set up?
Everywhere you looked at this event there was a surprise and another great owner or beautiful car..

Are there any extra comemerative coins that can be purchased?
This was a limited edition consecutive number run. Only a few extras were left and those are going to be presented to the people that helped make this happen.
IE. I gave Ray Shaffer one.
That coin is being put on display in the historical museum.
our Major sponsors etc.

Personally, one of the funniest moments for me was when the Columbus crew was leaving Sunday morning around 3:30am from the hotel only to find Hans, Dave(worf928) and Scott rockin' outside of the front of the hotel....looking for beer! Ironically, an extremely nice looking woman in a tight, sparkly dress gets out an uber and says, "anyone have a light?" Damn, I didn't know these guys could throw down like that!!! next time!
