Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Center.
they have 336 guest rooms , 48 event rooms, Two golf courses, 2 pools, across the lake from Stone Mountain.
Resort has free shuttle services around the park.
kids can go-to the Park , Wives can go-to the spa.
We can go play with our cars!!!

Not that it's a conflict, but Hershey is the week prior, so this might affect attendance there, particularly for those coming from a distance.... like me.

I'd cnx my trip to Hershey and go to this.

I apologise for any and all conflicts of schedule. I do hope everyone that can attend will. This being a spur of the moment event I just had to pick a date. This event needed to fit around many events in the South East, Amelia Island,
​​SITM, Spring break, PCNA schedule etc.
I have had multiple people offer their help, I appreciate that very much and will be contacting them.

If it was my call, I'd shift the entire Hershey 928 gathering to this special event for 2019. I have a voucher for a driving experience that's been burning a hole in my pocket, so this is the perfect opportunity if I can make it happen.

Unfortunately this event is going to be delayed. I am still 100% dedicated to making this event happen this is only a BAD case of hick-ups. However there has been a conflict of schedule that will greatly impact the event.
Everyone, Please accept my most sincere apologies for any and all issues this may have caused you. Hopefully the good side will be that these later dates will provide everyone a little more time to schedule for the event.
I am diligently working on this project and will provide updates as soon they are available. So, Should anyone decide to thrash me I can take it.

Working hard on this. New dates for June 28-30th pending.This obviously has to happen before 928#1 is moved from display. Working with these date will also help everyone with a little more time to plan their schedule.
Trying to negotiate everything with PCNA and venues for accommodations. Negotiations are going good at this point. We are set up to use clubregistration.net should we have any associated expenses. I am committed to this event and will make it happen.

Those original dates were the same weekend as the Mitty Classic Car Race at Road Atlanta. You'll recall that one of my original ideas was for a caravan of 928s from the PEC to Road Atlanta and to have #1 lead a parade of a100 or so 928s around the track.

Bummer it's moving from this weekend. Let us know when the new date is selected. If it's going to be May, my May actually looks decent right now.

Sharks in the Mountains is the first weekend of June if you either want to get away from that by a few weeks or get as close to it as possible to create a 2 weekend 928 festival.

Maybe the Wednesday or Thursday before Sharks would make sense. Get together in Atlanta then head to Banner Elk.

I more than 100000% understand and respect everyone's Schedule. However no event can accommodate Everyone's schedule. The original dates would not work with the PEC.
No accommodations from PEC caused the event to be cancelled for those dates. Yes SITM is first part of the month
I understand that events following. I have already made the commitment to be at that event as well. I could go on all day make amends but bottom line is PEC availability will be a major factor in dictating schedule.
Sorry I didn't see your post about the Rd Atlanta idea but you can't just go by there and Take your car for a drive then take it back once it's out it's out. The last day of this display has yet to be announced but end June is end of our safety net.
