Who is racing the Porsche 928 in 2019- show of hands planning or confirmed to race?
Getting my 928 racer ready for 2019, but wondering if there will ever be any 928s on the track this year, especially on the west coast. anyone?
Was thinking of getting down to Willow springs for a race with some decent tires, and certainly going to do the Laguna, sears , thunderhill tracks this year with SCCA and possibly PCA.
pretty excited to try and get a persona best at Laguna on the new tires I was able to run at the national championship runoffs this past fall at Sonoma.
I think the first race for me might be at laguna in march /april.
I was doing a search for other racers running 928s and found a guy named Tom Walstab, in Aus, who runs a Gulf/Martini colored '79. a few vides on the web. one description says it has 370hp..... wonder how he got that and if that is RWHP. runs the pan wheels and looks fairly stock. Here are a few more that are getting after it at the track!!!!!!
Com'on, who is In for some racing this year?

I plan on running a couple of Open Road Races this year. 170 mph class in May for the 120 mile NORC, then if all goes well I'll run 180 mph class for the 90 mile SSCC event in September. Not track but still going fast...

Well on my way... painted, caged, fuel cell mounts in.. Car is about to get new Sparco seat mounted, and a couple of cage tweaks done. New dash and all Lexan done. PowerFlex black poly almost done, adjustable front bar arrives Friday. Oh, it has all S4 front suspension, new Dansk Big Reds with RacingBrake 340mm center mount hats and rotors. A good friend is TIG welding mounts for my double adjustable coil-overs... This is for World Racing League- amateur endurance racing. Races are 7,8,14 (Daytona) and 24 hours... 4 drivers.... Like any good race car build, I'm at least 3 months behind... and guess what? I have no pics in this new laptop!!! Stay Tuned!!! Pics by the weekend!!! Ken

May 04!! NOT a race, just an HPDE, but its track time. Let me know if you have any slightly abused tires you want to donate to the cause Mark!! :ducking:
KEEP rocking on the West Coast Mark, we will try to rep the East with your great knowledge, until you relocate.

I'll be doing a number of DEs the first half of this year, but my new gig has mre really occupied, so not sure I can elevate to actual racing. Might try a TT with NASA for ****s and grins.
