Period correct replacement radio for 89 S4?
The radio (not correct) in my 89 S4 is Kaput, and would like to find a correct replacement. What should I be looking for? I found a Blaupunkt Coburg SQ-26 reasonably priced, looks right, but can't find specs on it.

Most US cars came withe the Blau Reno cassette head unit, with a companion outboard amp that lives under the cover next to the passenger seat. Good restored Reno units are in pretty decent demand. SWStereo can do a resto for you, and can also add some external in connections for a Bluetooth receiver.

For '89 US cars the standard was a Blaupunkt Reno, or the optional CD-2. Post the last six digits of your VIN and I can tell you which radio was originally in the car.

Thanks for the plug.
Yes I have a mint Reno, with amp and wires. It’s listed in the marketplace. Face and cassette door are perfect, fully functional. $700
