Why the 928 is the perfect sports car...

Back in my orthopedic days I used to rip around with bins of trauma, total hip and knee implants plus their surgical instruments, donor bone and ligaments, bone morphogenic proteins, all sorts of surgical equipment.
The 928's simply swallowed it all up and got me from case to case without reservation. Loved the reliability!
Sometimes the Outlaw GT did track days on the weekend at Sebring or Moroso/Palm Beach Motorsports complex and then showed up on Monday morning at 6:00 am for cutting skin at 7:00 sharp.
Fun times... Great cars and Porsche should have evolved them.
My guess is that it is our responsibility to evolve Porsche GT coupes ourselves and keep the flame burning.

I had a case walk in off the steet in respiratory failure, never good in general practice.
Even if you stabilze, you gotta keep it going.
So I end up driving this dog across town to an overnight ICU on oxygen in the back of the 928.
Dog, nurse, oxygen tank, whole nine yards.
Interesting ride.
Only thing that irritated me was that I got snark from the cardiologist for not emailing the xrays beforehand.
What an a__h____.

I never realized that some of you fellas are really educated! You'd think with smarts enough to be a doctor, never mind the discipline, you'd be smart enough not to have a 928.
I'm an engineer, don't know no better, at least that's my excuse, plus I didn't know anything about them when I bought the 1st one. Just liked the looks.

Can't speak for the human doctors here, but my education seemed to be memorizing things and then regurgitating it on to a test paper.
Then use common sense in real life.
And yes, I like the way the car looked, lol. Knew nothing about it at the time, might have run if I did.

Back on topic, my choice of the 928 has nothing to do with practicality. Look, style, technology and zeitgeist... That's where I am at.

And then of course there was taking it to the Sebring 12 hour. Camping at turn 7 and using it as a partying/beer hauler with 8 flats of Boddingtons, associated coolers, tents, whole fillet's and of course liters of frozen bottles of Patron Tequila.
I'd post photos but those evidence bombs are best kept under lock and key...
The versatility of a 928 is not to be underestimated!
