Hi James - who told you it was NLA? I have 15 in stock and they are $9.95 each.

I'm also in need of a headlight motor relay. I have bought two now in error: the first, intended for the years after the 78-79 without the internal diode, the second, a 944 relay which included the diode but it was located in a different place in the circuit diagram on the relay than the illustration on the stock relay of mine which is compromised.
I need a working headlight motor relay, new or used, for my 1979 928.
Roger? others?

Headlight Power Supply = 928 615 127 00
Headlight Motor = 928 615 116 00
I can talk to me electronics guy and find out if we can replicate or find an alternative. Anyone have a schematic of the relay 928 615 127 00 by any slim chance?

I believe that mine has the schematic printed on the side of it, but if it has an IC in it, it'll be a blank block.
I'll take a look at it tonight and see what it has, and possibly open it to see if there is any further information if needed.
edit:
I thought that I recognized the part number, and did a quick search and found this image on the jenkins.nl reference site.

Mine was rusted and the bottom broke when I removed it from my CE panel.
I duplicated the functionality by soldering a couple of diodes to terminal blades harvested from blade fuses, and then soldered on a Bosch relay socket to allow the use of a generic 92861511600 relay instead.
All the diodes do is connect the two circuits to the relay coil, but don't allow the current to feed back into either of the power source circuits.
I can post pictures of my hacked together relay replacement, but it's nothing pretty. I'm thinking to design a more permanent blade holder and 3d print it.
Another option would be to modify the CE panel and install the diodes in the jumper wires on the back, joining the wire from the corner small terminal with the wire in the normal relay coil terminal position.
This would allow the use of a general purpose relay without needing an adapter.
