Three Wheelin'
According to the 82 and 84 diagrams, there appear to be two red/yellow wires at the number 2 spade pin on connector L.
provided that is in fact the case, then power to that spade connector should power both seats.

I have an 85, 8 way seats, and from your description, they are likely different. If so, this is probably useless to you.
However, in case it is of use to you, and for anyone who stumbles across this in a search...
Do you have the little plastic cover under the front of the seat?
Two screws hold it in.
If you take it off, you can see the three motors for the seats. L & R are for front & back height (not sure which is which). Center is for forward/back.
You can see the wires plug in.
Put power to those and the seat will move.
