I am jealous about the gold cad on the calipers. This process is no longer allowed in the Netherlands. The yellow zinc proces doesn't stick to the caliper material. I had this tried out but no result.

Goin’ N.O.S.
I’ve been reading a lot of Import Tuner magazines. Last week I stopped by a local tuner shop to see how these guys are getting such massive H.P. numbers from some really small motors. After seeing their dyno results, I took the plunge and installed a full Stage II system on 928801117 that is current under restoration. According to the master tuner at www.evasivemotorsports.com/ he calculated that my 4.5 liter will be pumpin’ out about 480 H.P., just with Stage II! The master tuner at Evasive has 2,200 dyno hours so I know his calc’s are the real deal!
It took some time at my machinist - but we made a fixture to set the precise angle on each of the intake runners for drilling and taping for the optimum nozzle angle. See below pick. So bitchin’. With the fixture the other 7 intake runners went really quick. PM me if you want to do your runners as the fixture is still set up in the mill.
I can already hear those rear tires squealing in third!
Watch for future posts on Stage III and IV –targeting 560 RWHP! This was so easy!

Whiskey Tango, Paul, I step away from the project for a while and you pull _this_? How the hell are the judges going to react to that?

Rob,
Sorry I didn't mention this. It all moved very quickly last week. If I show the car I guess I could remove it? It would have been great if you were there -as I did screw up one of the holes drilled in the trunk floor for the N.O.S. bottles. I am smelling a lot of raw fuel vapor. How close is the top of that fuel tank to the floor?

Like your "back seat" thread (well done, Ed!) I enjoy the banter and replies they invite. Mit Wasser should change his name to "Mit Comodie", he is a seasoned prankster. See more of his April 1 handiwork here:

Torque Verification's / documentation
Image one is a formatted version of @Rob Edward's spreadsheet noting every significant bolt on a 928. Rob has listed the location, bolt size and the area specific torque value. This has been extremely helpful is fighting sometimers disease (aka CRS), when you have tightened the bolt but can't remember 10 minutes later if you did. I worked in one specific area at a time doing the torquing. and paint dotted as soon as the bolt / nut was torqued. The Foamcore board makes it easy to transport around the chassis. The zoom in section in image two is the secondary red dot corresponding when each bolt is complete. The board will remain with the vehicle's documentation. Thank you Rob Edwards.

up and running
The past week has been focused on the fuel pressure, vacuum leaks, vacuum line routings and a modest amount of trouble shooting. The result is a very smooth running engine. Rob came over today and we set the timing, then rest the idle speed. So far no leaks. Took it for 5-6 short test drives on Saturday. Sunday was 25 miler up to the BMW restoration shop. The transmission is sublime. Silky smooth, nice synchro engagement and the mild chirping of the LSD at low speed. Its awesome to have it back on the road. Some minor wire dressing and label remain.

I stopped by Paul's for a test drive yesterday, and was struck by Paul's garage floor. Usually when I finish a project the EPA has to come in and direct a Hazmat team to perform the cleanup. In Paul's case, not a frickin' drop of juice on the floor. Inconceivable.
