Think I could spray this door covering black?

Good morning gentlemen, hope everybody’s had a good week so far.

these are door cards from the 1988 that I pulled off a donor car, my 1984 needs new door panel somewhat urgently. The 1984 is an all black interior and I’m wondering if I could use and interior SEM interior paint to spray this lower Borkar and Black.

EDIT - it doesn’t look like my picture is uploaded correctly but I’m asking about the “fur” on the bottom of the door card,.

1984 is a bit of a rat, but is a ton of fun and I don’t have aspirations beyond a presentable driver for

I thinks so.

I've never tried it myself, but from what I've read on here, the technique is to spray a very light coat onto the carpet (fur) and then work it in with a toothbrush or similar.
Repeat until you are happy with the coverage.

Hi Joe, thanks for the response and belated Happy New Year. I don’t want to ruin the door panel (obviously) but I don’t have too much to lose this point I think I’ll give it a try and then report back.

Umm if your going to change carpet color why not just use the old carpet on the new panel?

use the Weldwood brush on glue ,
put a wet coat on the door panel then lay the carpet onto it move the carpet around so it gets glue on it,
then pull apart,
let both parts sit for about 5 mins then stick em together.
