I've tried to do this dual color before to keep the vintage warm look but it's always so hard to recreate. The bulbs look promising BUT we'd have to run another circuit to cycle the lights to change the colors. It would be super annoying to put the motors up/down several times to get the setting you want.

The motors dont have to move to turn the bulbs off.

Yes, to cycle the mode is turning the bulb on and off. How to I cycle with the heads up?

The switch has two positions.

You dont have to fully cycle the switch to turn OFF the headlights.

Turn it back one, and the lights go off, but stay up.

It might be worth looking back at a review I did (back in July 2017) of a few LED H4 options. Pay particular attention to geometry and the resulting beam patterns.

I haven't seen anything since that time that looks much, if at all, better than the model (which shows up under various brands, sometimes with minor cosmetic differences) I recommended in that post.

Im guessing that the LED placement is _just a tad_ long or short from the LumiLEDs I had in there that had a broader "spray" pattern up and to the right...But these align crisp on the proper line to keep out of peoples eyes.

Im happy.

Ed that was really my question - had technology improved any for our 8" H4 setups since you did the original research. Thanks to all for chiming in as well. Always good to have opinions for people to consider in the future as someone else comes along with the same question.

Based on just looking at the pictures of the Boslla H4, it might be a well-designed unit. The geometry (LED placement), presence of a shield for the low beam, and LEDs on both sides of each bulb is a good sign.

It also looks like the current sealing caps I've got probably wouldn't work on these. It would be good if somebody who gets a Boslla H4 set takes and posts some measurements (most importantly, the diameter and length of the cylinder between the flange and the heat sink).

I haven't been able to find specs on the Boslla H4 bulbs, so there's not much to go on other than the pictures.
