I wondered what new was...
$940 I found at sonnen. Huh |
New S4 windscreens were still in the mid 300's installed at Sharktoberfest from Gabe. Contact 928 International for the full info.

From Mark A in the Sharktoberfest announcement thread:
Windshields will be available again this year for $395 installed for an aftermarket glass without antenna. This is offered directly by Gabe and not through us so call Gabe and reserve a windshield and installation slot if you are interested. (714) 535-5658 |
There's a Safelight glass there in Elgin. Their online quote system doesn't include any models of 1987 Porsches in the drop-down menu but if Gabe can get a 928 windshield, so can Safelight.

$300-$400 installed should be the going rate. I got a special deal going with Satellite here in Central Ohio Mansfield shop. $225. If you want OEM, it's your money.

While I like the windshield antenna (with a functioning antenna amp it actually works well), I don't like it enough to spend than much extra.
There are alternatives. Both external and concealed. |
Are you guys in the US paying out of pocket for windshields? In Canada they are covered and do not increase our insurance rates and most installers will pay the deductible. So usually our cost is 0. |
Depends.
I have a $1k deductible, so I'll pay out of pocket for it. That sort of deductible keeps my rates low because it eliminates a lot of claims. Some folks only carry liability. Covers damage to other people, not to you. |
