928S altenator Duct Sub.
Found a nice duct substitute for alternator cooling for 928S. Was mentioned on earlier posts, so thought I'd try it.
Size is 2-1/2" diameter and fit alternator fine, just had to build up diameter on temp. sensor in left fender with decent black vinyl tape.. Duct is fiber glass with neoprene coating, good from -67 degrees to +257 degrees F. and only $5.40/ foot cut to length. Bought 4' and worked great with enough for top loop above temp sensor.

Not "factory" but does the job.

Thanks for posting! I had tried the plastic stuff that someone sells for the purpose, and found it doesn’t stand up to oil/power steering fluid. I had replaced that aircraft ducting on my plane a little while ago and know darn well it stands up to heat and fluids for a long time. All I needed was the size (and didn’t want to crawl under the car to get it). Just ordered that 2-1/2” CAT-10.

FYI, I've been using the THERMOID AERODUCT CEET DUCTING:
https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...id-ad-ceet.php
and THERMOID AERODUCT SCEET DUCTING:
https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...d-ad-sceet.php
for about 10 years.
I like the wider temp range and the better dual wall and smooth internal construction. Both seem indestructible in the alternator hose application.

Yes, I do believe it to indestructible.
Thanks for giving some insight about this.
