Default Classic Porsche came to visit 928Srus

Satisfying to meet with Porsche Classic peeps today. Nice sales pitch and they took the time to positively listen to my gripes about NLA Porsche parts.
They have certainly latched on to the up clicks in 928 parts requirements.
Instigated a system withing the ordering system that flags parts that are not available and need to be added back to the inventory.
Very surprised that I am using PET 2 and tried to sell me on using another system they are promoting. I can access other European car companies equivalent to PET for a small annual fee and asked why Porsche is so protective of their own system. After all it only allows owners to search for Porsche part numbers and buy the parts from Porsche. That seemed to fall on deafer ears 8>).
They are trying to increase the annual goal of 200 new classic parts per year across all platforms. They need to multiply that by 10 fold on each platform if they stand any chance of keeping up with demand.

Roger,

Great news! Did you mention they needed to fix the 928 automatic drive line problems?

Kidding aside, thanks for representing 928 owners and discussing their needs to Porsche, hopefully they will listen.

Good question about the PET, sorry to hear they didn't respond positively, doesn't make sense really.

Cheers,
Constantine

Hope it works out well. Not sure how much pull they have with Porsche corp, but anything new is an improvement.

Well, I did stop by today and he didn't post a thread about me. Chances are, Sean, that he wouldn't have posted about you stopping by either.

I truly can't believe that it took Porsche so long to reach out to you directly, but I'm glad that it finally happened.

+928! Says a lot about your street creds in the Porsche community. Glad you're in our corner!

Any chance the PSD reservoir cracked the top 10? I hurts my head when Porsche Classic touts "Over 70 percent of all Porsche vehicles ever built are still on the road today" YET basic maintenance/safety related (i.e. fuel lines) parts are NLA.
