1987 928 S4 Fog light unit wiring
Hi there
Stupidly I took out my fog light units and did not photograph the wiring. I have brown, white and yellow wires but cannot see how it all goes back together. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Rob

Please post a picture of what your working on.
Brown is the ground wire for all and will go to the housings
The other colored wires will be one for the fog lamp and one for the driving lamp,
The driving lamps should be outboard.
By using a test lamp you should be able to figure out what wire has power when the particular switch is thrown,

The diagram shared above is for the non-north America cars, known to us in the USA as "ROW" or "rest of world". That diagram matches the lamp assembly in the picture you shared. For US cars, the side marker light and turn signal functions are separate from the fog-lamp/aux main beam housing. The wire colors and purpose are similar for the fog and aux main beam functions, while the ROW car adds the fender-mounted marker/repeater behind the wheelhouse, while the North America cars have a side-marker forward of the wheelhouse opening.
And.... Welcome to Rennlist! Take a few minutes to read through the "new visitors" thread sticky'd at the top of the main page. Invest in a full membership, and gain the capability to add a signature line that includes the year and market/model for your car in each post. The alternative is that you get to type that info into every post, so we know which car we are discussing. At minimum, add your location in your profile so we have at least a hint of which car it might be.

Thanks for your help guys. I had already found that wiring diagram but I have different coloured wires as you can see from the photo I posted. I have 3 brown linked together (ground), two whites and one yellow. Thats why I am so confused!
Many thanks
