Additional Engine Lift Points
I have never quite understood the value of a load leveler when the lift points are on the engine corners. I've used engine braces to lift the upper bell housing to make it easier to wrangle the engine out and in with good results.
But I think I can do better. So, in a quest to ease the removal and replacement of my engines. After all every body knows real men pull the engine first. So, i bought some 90dg angle bar stock and made these and attached eyebolts. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...36bf55fa9e.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...090aa435f7.jpg |

Thanks.
Recently, Kevin and I started to use long studs in lieu of the 13mm bolts to hold the accelerator cable assembly in place. Makes it's installation 100 times easier. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...bd62228100.jpg |
Can I come play in your garage

I like this idea but did you have any concerns pulling from the water pump?

We'll see how it performs next week when I drop the engine in. |
Here they are in use. I was worried that the oil filler would interfere with the chain, but it doesn't.
The acid test is seeing if it helps. We'll know that later this week. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...e5e9ea31a8.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...4e8c3143a3.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...962693b2a2.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...6b0fb53ce4.jpg |
