Engine fit 1979 928 Manual transmission
I have a 1979 928 manual transmission and I'm trying to find some one to fit a replacement engine in Houston, TX but struggling to find anyone to do it for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

"Replacement" would indicate that you have a spare 1979 Porsche 928 engine handy. If that is the case, I would recommend bringing it up to Denton TX and contacting SeanR on this forum. He will do it for you. If you mean you want a non-Porshce 928 engine fitted, I think you might have to grab a wrench and get busy.

He might have a year wait list, but he is the go-to person for all things 928 in TX. The other thing you will need is a checkbook. Suggest you know what you are getting into before replacing the lump. If the rest of the car is in condition for an engine replacement, I would be - ahem, rather surprised.
good luck, keep us informed and don't forget the pics when you can.

What is wrong with the engine in the car ?? And how fresh / complete is the 39 year old replacement ? Dropping it in is not a big deal but making it run right just might be...

When was the intake refresh last done?
How long since the fuel system was gone through (this car is K-jet, it's very sensitive to dirt)?
How long for the TB/WP?
It's almost 40 years old.
Doing all the seals on the rotating stuff (crank & cams mostly) and the cam housing & head gaskets is a good idea, if not absolutely necessary.
