New 93 GTS Owner

New 93 GTS Owner
Just purchased 93 GTS auto (after not having 928 since 1980 Euro 928S in 80's). Have been going through threads looking for convenient lists of hoses, fuel lines, belts, and other components that might need replacing after 25 years. Didn't find the lists. Anyone have such lists available?
After going thru various threads, looks like PKT-belt kit, lasso water pump with plastic impeller, and pk32v'r and bumpstick are musts.
Planning on air pump delete, X-pipe, cat delete, and RMB as well.
All sound about right?

Welcome (back)! Definitely worth a check of the fuel lines, TB/WP, and a crank end-play / flex plate release. Any records that came with the car? Oh, and pictures!
That's going to be loud. And no cat just stinks up your driving experience. Perhaps consider swapping out for GT resonators and an RMB, that gives you the most weight savings (the GTS resonators are tanks- 42 lbs for the pair vs. 25 for GT), and 11 lbs for the RMB vs. 24 for the GTS muffler.
X-pipe, cat delete, and RMB as well.

Don't be shy and let us know were you are located. You would be surprised at the local and willing knowledge you may have in your backyard. Also, it's not everyday that we see a GTS, so lets see what you got and register it with 928 registry if that has not been done before.

I would add flushing the PSD to your list of things to do. It's tucked behind the left rear fender cover so it's often overlooked. Be very carful removing the fender liner. They're made out of the same stuff as a Pringles potato chip.
I don't know if I'd go through the effort of removing the air pump as it really doesn't save that much weight. For mine, I just removed the belt and left everything in place.
FWIW, whatever you remove, keep it so you can later (or someone else) can return it to stock. E.g., the exhaust
Welcome and hope to see you at 3rd coast!.

Having done air pump delete and cat delete, I do not recommend. Can end up with a car that smells and sounds like a Chevelle. Nothing wrong with a Chevelle, I suppose, but a 928 should be more refined. Many here have stated that just doing the RMB by itself gives a nice sound.

Welcome fellow GTS Owner. Mine had the mid mufflers/resonators removed when I bought it. Now I have the cats and just added a RMB (rear muffler bypass). It now has a bad *** sound to it. With the GTS keep the removed parts to go with the car in case the next caretaker is an original purist. Same with the radio. If you flush the PSD just count on replacing the fender liner. Mine crumbled when removed. (Part # 928-504-303-04 $420.00). My signature picture is my '93 Lagoon Green Metallic 5 speed.

GTS arrived!! Pics to follow - tried to attach previously but after I pulled them onto site (in a reduced size), and it looked like they went, nothing showed up.????
Question: battery was dead when it arrived. Driver put leads on battery from charging device and it started right up. However, in the right digital display it showed "call" and in the right digital display it said "police". ????? After I turned it off when in garage, and turned ignition back on, digital display appeared to work normally (except its pixelated) even though not enough juice to start motor. It's on trickle charger now. When it's back up to full charge, do I need to reset something?
Thanx much

There's nothing to reset, the digital dashes really don't like low voltage, they do all sorts of strange things. Let the battery top back up and it should be ok. (Never heard of a digidash asking for police intervention, tho....)
