Welcome to the 928 forum Donna. Worth the read: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...questions.html Like many here list your town/state in your sig. We we can then advise trusted mecahincs in your area (if needed) and upcoming regional events that may interest you. Looks forward to more pics of your 78 and of course more banter. 77Tony

You're just looking at the exposed single tailpipe? What are your thoughts? Maybe a cheap repair in the past? I have the stock dual on that side with the chrome tips and agree I think mine looks a bit better, not sure it really works better but again, mine's an '85, US version so maybe under completely different exhaust rules.
I kind of like the phone dial wheels... I used to have an '81 931 in exactly that color scheme but I seem to think it was called "root beer" metallic brown? I sincerely hope I'm wrong about that.

I sincerely hope that was both a non-sexist way to welcome a new member, while at the same time celebrating a rare female enthusiast? Hard to do. Seriously.
Best Regards,

Welcome aboard! Beautiful looking OB. Please post more pictures - engine bay, interior, exterior. You've come to the right place for the best 928 content (and ultimately relationships) on the planet!

Welcome. You've found the best place for these cars.
Gorgeous car. It looks a bit high in the front, but it could be a bit low in the rear, or you simply had the car up in the air and it hasn't settled yet (it takes a while for the front to settle down).
Good on you for posting a pic in the OP. That saves the obsessive among us from doing the usual "This.." thingy. Sort of anyway.
Please post some more pics, interior & engine.
Not sure why you are dreading the clutch job. This car has the easiest clutch job of any I've ever encountered. No need to pull the motor or drop the trans. Just pull the lower bell housing and take the thing out (don't drop it on your head).
Will you be doing it yourself, having someone like a husband or S/O, or paying a shop?
I agree with Scott that it's hard to welcome a woman without appearing sexist in some way. Realities of the world, I guess. Some women work on their own cars, but not a lot.
If you (or someone in your house) turns the wrenches, everything you need to know is on here. Either in the archives or available by simply asking.
If you plan on paying to have the work done, make sure the tech knows the 928 specifically. Many (most?) "Porsche Specialists" or "European Specialists" know little to nothing about them. They have some quirks and peculiarities.
