front hub seems to long
I hope one you fine gurus can answer this. On my 83 euro s the left front wheel sticks out about 1/2 inch farther than the right front from the fender line. Could it be that hub has been replace with one from another year? I haven't pulled the hub off yet to look for a part#. Offset on the aftermarket wheels is et55 the same on both sides. Thanks for any help to figure this out.

Are there any ABS sensor rings on either hub? Shouldn't be. Has the car ever had any damage to the front that might have moved a fender around? Hard to imagine where 1/2" would not be immediately obvious, just thinking aloud to rule out the possibility.

Hi Rob. No abs on this 83. I measured from wheel opening to inner fender wall. and it's the same on both sides..A half inch might be overstating it a bit, closer to 1/4 to 3/8 inch. No obvious collision damage and alignment is good. Maybe I need to pull the hub and take a look.

If there are no ABS pickup rings on the hubs, then they're all the same from 1978 to 1985 on US models if the car didn't have ABS.

the best thing to do is take pictures of the wheels/fenders while on the ground,
then jack it up , remove the wheels , take pictures of both sides LnR of the suspensions and post them
maybe a newer spindle was installed,
but without any pictures best guesses are you will get
