Default What's in a name? How does your screen name relate to the 928? Or does it?

At Frenzy this past weekend, I had a few folks ask about my name, and how it related to the Porsche 928. Fact it, it doesn't. It's car related, to the point of an old Dodge VIN, which in some circles, is a pretty big deal.
I guess for the purposes of this forum, I could change it to WP0JB... or something to the effect, but I like the old mopar, and have other vehicles. Besides, I could also be WP1AB on Rennlist...

So what's your forum name all about? How did it originate, or what's its relation to the 928, if any?

Well Chris, mine should be pretty easy if you are a fan of 80's movies.

In case you don't know. In the 80's movie Weird Science, Wyatt (or Gary) drove a black 928. Thus, Wyatt's Ride. GarysRide didn't seem as catchy.

Growing up I was little blonde headed kid and an uncle took to calling me Elroy Jetson as the show was popular at the time. It stuck and thankfully friends shortened it to just Jetson. The number is last 4 digits of home phone number growing up, when there was one rotary dial phone in the house and a cord long enough to escape to some privacy in the hall.

Mine does not. My first Porsche was a 911, hence the 'Elfer' part (a German nickname for the 911). I fly B737s for a living.

Catorce - after my Porsche 914-6. Catorce means 14 in Spanish, even though I am Italian. "Quattordici" doesn't have the same ring to it, LOL.

I am a simpleton, my forum name is the first letters of my first and one of my middle names, with my last name. Creative, no?

Now, the license plate on my 928...

My first name and date of birth being 9th of November so hence 0911. And my introduction to the brand. Always have been a bit of an aicooled nut. Yes I have one. Or should I say a collection of parts that should make a 1971 911S
