Pretty rare. Only available from '87 thru '90 if I'm not mistaken. You could check out the registry over at 928 Owners Club and see how many in that range are diamond blue. My guess is it will only be a handfull.
I have no real knowledge on this subject. My gut feeling though is that anything other than black, red and white are rare. Silver I would guess is somewhere in between rare and not rare. Terrible stereotyping on my part, but it's what it seems like.
Kinda like Horizon Blue (1991 was the first year it was available) I think there were only 2 made in 1991, mine and another one Mine has the light grey interior, and the other has a dark blue interior.
My Daughter Mercedes has an 87 Diamond Blue Metallic.

I have one, pictures rarely do the color justice. At low sun levels there are purple and pink hints, not unlike a diamond. Bright light, and any level of dirt and it moves to a blue silver.
Diamond Blue changes color in every weather/sun condition. I love the purple hints you can get on occasion. It can even look flat in certain light. Check out our trip around California in every weather condition for several pics:
