My 928 died on 9/28
Well I was out running errands this evening in the 928 and was turning left with green arrow. The oncoming Chrysler 200 didn't stop at his red light.and hit me dead center in the passenger door damaging both front and rear fenders and buckling the floor pan.
Guess I'm in the market for another 928. Anyone know of an S3 for sale, preferably an 86.5.

If it's not totaled and the decision is to repair, make sure you file for a diminished value claim with the insurance company. A 928 will be considered a collectible, and as we all know having an accident history will impact the future value of a Porsche when resale time comes. Your car from the picture looks like it was a very nice example of a 928.

I know where there is an 85 body that is pretty straight, but you'd need to move your interior and running gear to the rolling chassis. Good wintertime project.

Damn, that is the 2nd 928 hit in recent months in the DFW area. When it comes to insurance document document document. No matter how much they offer do not take the 1st offer.

I noticed the BAT auction, but have a preference for something other than black or red.
I'm sure that 90 GT would be fun, but I prefer the styling of the earlier cars.
Not sure what my budget is going to be yet as I have no idea what I might get from the insurance claim.

That Prussian Blue is stunning! I'm planning to repaint my car and I thought I was dead set on Aventurine Green... Now I'm not so sure.
Am I correct in assuming that depending on the lighting it ranges from being blue to grey to purple?

Awww jeez, it hurts to see a 928 like this . More importantly you’re ok. Hopefully, insurance will declare it as Totalled and allow you to recoup some of the money that you have poured into this car.
That Prussian Blue 928 sure looks beautiful. Hopefully it will be yours

You are correct that Prussian Blue has a large range in how it presents to the eye depending on ambient lighting and surrounding colors in the environment. That trailer shot with the violet cast was taken under a pure white LED with mostly white around it in otherwise total darkness as it arrived at home when I purchased it this summer. Under typical neon, it turns pretty dark and has a cast mixing Gunmetal Blue and Meteor Grey.
Aventurine Green is an awesome color choice with more variety of opalescent highlights under natural light so you can not go wrong with either!
Here is a shot from the former owner in natural sunlight.
